The former Fixer Upper host and best-selling author appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon wearing the most fabulous, holiday-ready outfit, and it's safe to say we were smitten.

With just a touch of shimmer and a rich sepia tone, the dress was a perfect choice for the 41-year-old mom of five. A halter-style top with a high neck kept things both stylish and appropriate for all occasions.

Accessorizing the gown with a pair of nude suede heels, a gold bracelet, and geometric earrings, Joanna looked positively regal—and so very seasonal. We really can't imagine a more appropriate color scheme for Thanksgiving Day, or a cuter get-up for any of our upcoming holiday parties.

Of course, Joanna wasn't wearing the dress "just because." She was, after all, preparing to announce some big news. Not only did she share more details about the release of Magnolia Table, Volume 2 (the highly-anticipated sequel to her first cookbook), but she also revealed her plans to host a cooking show on the Gaineses' television network.

The reveal of the as-yet-untitled show was exciting enough all on its own, and it's already got us daydreaming about which recipes she'll make. But it also doubled as the first official announcement about Joanna’s return to our TV screens in any capacity. Talk about a great excuse to dress up!
